Luanda - Petro de Luanda will face the second stage of the top division football championship as real final for their title aspirations, providing that the team have not won the competition since 2010, the club’s coach Mateus Agostinho said on Monday.
The coach, who was speaking in a press conference ahead of Tuesday's game against FC Bravos do Maquis do Moxico, said the title is their main priority.
"We have lost many points in the first stage, now we are obliged to win all the games to be played" said the coach.
The championship is led by the defending champions 1º de Agosto with 36 points, followed by Sagrada Esperança (35) and Bravos do Maquis with 33, while Ferrovia do Huambo occupy the 16th and last position with three points.
Petro de Luanda are in the fourth position of the championship with 31 points.
