Lubango – Benfica do Lubango beat Bravos do Maquis 7-6 on Friday, on penalties, in the final of the national men's under-20 championship, after a 1-1 draw in the regular 90 minutes.

The goals were scored by Dido, Benfica, in the 14th minute and Bebo, Maquis, in the minute 59.

This is the first time in Benfica's history to lift the under-20 national championship title.

Speaking in a post match press conference, Benfica coach Domingos Tchissico attributed the credit for the victory to his players, stressing that it was achieved with sacrifice, given the technical-tactical skills that the players presented , having praised the good performance in the games played up to the final.

Bravos do Maquis coach, Fernando Caquinda, on his turn said his team did not comply with the tactical recommendations and accused the conditions of the pitch as a factor that weighed in, having praised Benfica for the trophy. JT/MS/DAN/AMP
