Luanda - Petro de Luanda senior men's basketball team lost Wednesday, 67-80, against Coviran de Granada, from the main Spanish League.
The friendly match, which is the first of three, is part of the preparation for their participation in the Intercontinental Cup taking place from the 12th to the 15th of September in Singapore.
The American-Egyptian professional basketball center player Patrick Gardner, hired exclusively for the Intercontinental competition, was the top scorer with 11 points.
Petro de Luanda have been in the Kingdom of Spain since Sunday, they will face the Fuenlabrada club next Saturday and Zunder Palencia, on Tuesday.
