Luanda - Petro de Luanda squad beat Petro Luanda B team, 113-82, on Sunday in Luanda, as part of the eighth round, thus taking the lead of the 47th National Senior Men's Basketball Championship.
With this win, Petro de Luanda's main team are now 10 points clear at the top, the same points as Sporting de Luanda's B team and Vila Clotilde.
However, Vila Clotilde did not play due to scheduling problems, while Sporting B were beaten 64-86 by 1º de Agosto.
Of the fourteen teams taking part in the competition, Petro de Luanda are the only ones without a defeat in the five games already played.
During the weekend, Sporting de Luanda beat CFDK 138-83 and Vila Coltilde B lost to Interclube, 55-99, Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) beat Interclube B 80-75 and CAB Benguela beat Academia Akira 76-70.
Next week, Petro de Luanda and 1º de Agosto will play at the Kilamba Multipurpose Pavilion, in a match for the seventh round, which was not held last Friday due to their own request.
