Luanda - O antigo base da equipa sénior masculina de basquetebol do 1º de Agosto, Joaquim António "Quinzinho", faleceu segunda-feira, na província da Lunda Norte, aos 54 anos de idade.
In a press note from 1º de Agosto club, published on its social media pages, states, without giving details, that the former athlete died as a result of a river accident, while working.
ANGOP learned from a hospital source that the deceased worked in a diamond company and that his remains will be moved to Luanda on Thursday.
On several occasions, Quinzinho played for the country’s national teams.
The former athlete also represented the Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) team.
