Luanda - Petro de Luanda coach, José Neto, foresees difficulties in the match against Monastir of Tunisia, Saturday (5pm), at Kigali arena, in the final of the African Basketball League (BAL).

In his view, the unprecedented game between the two teams will be tough as Monastir play a lot on physical contact.

He stressed that the opponent has been strong in the outside game, which will force his team to redouble their efforts to win the competition.

He pointed out that having eliminated the defending champion Zamalek from Egypt, the opponent shows that they have prepared well for the competition.

"We have our way of playing and I believe we can win. We will work to nullify the strongest points of this team so that we can win the much-dreamed-of BAL title," he said.

To reach the final, the Tricolors swept aside FAP of Cameroon (88-74), while Monastir overcame Zamalek of Egypt (88-81).

Petro de Luanda holds two titles, won in 2006 and 2015, while Monastir was third in 2017 and second in 2021, in the first edition with the new format of the competition, organized by Fiba-Africa and sponsored by the NBA.
