Pretoria - Petro de Luanda team will be looking for another win against CapeTownTigers on Saturday at the Sun Beat Arena pavilion in Pretoria, South Africa in their last match at the Kalahari conference of the African Basketball League (BAL).
The Angolan champions, who have already beaten the hosts 100-88, the highest score recorded so far, are favorites against an opponent that has only suffered defeat.
Petro de Luanda ends their participation on Saturday, while the competition concludes on Sunday with the match between Fus de Rabat and CapeTownTigers.
There is only one match per day in the competition, due to the withdrawal of Dynamo from Burundi for non-compliance with league rules.
The Angolan and Moroccan representatives are through to the final phase, scheduled for May 24 to June 1 in Rwanda, where they will be joined by other teams from the Sahara Conference in Senegal and the Nile Conference in Egypt.
In the games played so far, Petro de Luanda have won two and lost one. Egypt’s Al Haly are the title holders.
