Luanda - Atlético da Madeira won the National Junior Men's Handball Championship on Monday, in Luanda Province, by defeating 1º de Agosto, 27-18, in the ninth and final round.
The Madeira team was already leading at half-time, 16-7, in the match played at Cidadela pavilion.
Undefeated, the championship has 18 points, against 16 for 1º de Agosto.
The Madeira player, Medina Tuzayamo, with eight goals, was the match's top scorer.
This is Atlético da Madeira's first title, after their debut in 2016.
