Luanda - Angolan power forward Sílvio de Sousa has confirmed his presence in NBA Draft set for June 13 this year at Barclay Center, Brooklyn (New York), United States.
The 23-year old player, who recently represented the Chattanooga Mocs Basketball, College of NCAA D1, where he became champion of his conference's tournament, has been announced as the newest member of the marketing and career management company (Edge Sports Management).
The young basketball athlete loses his amateur status, one of the requirements to play in the NCAA.
Earlier, the Angolan Bruno Fernando was drafted in 2019 at Maryland College, with the 23-year-old, 2.08-meter centre forward to play for the NBA's Atlanta Hawks.
In three seasons in the NBA, Bruno Fernando has already played for three teams, namely Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics and currently playing for Houston Rockets.
The draft is an annual event in which the thirty teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) can recruit eligible players to join the world's greatest basketball competition.
Usually, these players are amateurs coming from college basketball.
