Angolan player joins Italy's Udinese

Luanda - Angola international player Rui Modesto has joined Italy’s Udinenese one of the best European football leagues.

The 24-year-old right winger is joining Udinese in Italy, after representing Sweden’s AIK for a season and a half.

Rui Modesto played for Estrela Futebol Clube, Vitória de Setúbal in Portugal and Honka in Finland.

At AIK, he established himself as an undisputed starter and in the current season, he already has nine goals and six assists in 25 matches.

The signing of Rui Modesto adds to the number of Angolans in Italy's top soccer league: Zito Luvumbo at Cagliari, M'bala Nzola at Fiorentina and Kialonda Gaspar at Lecce. GVA/AMP
