Luanda - Angolan player Sara Caetano confirmed Friday in Luanda her new link with Basket Lattes-Montpellier MMA, a 1st division club of the French League.
Aged 19 and measuring 1.72 m, trained at Luanda’s Formigas do Cazenga School, the athlete, who passed through ASVEL, reached the top level of basketball in this European country.
Speaking to National Radio station’s sport’s channel “Radio 5”, the young woman, who admitted to working a lot in France, even training twice a day, felt that the change would be a great and good experience for her career.
As part of the cooperation between Formigas do Cazenga and former NBA player, Frenchman Tony Parker, basketball player Sara Caetano received a scholarship to study and practice sport at the Academy of this sports figure in France.
Sara is heading to the top of French basketball after a great performance at Afrobasket2023, in Rwanda, where she averaged 18.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 tackles, in 30 minutes of play.
Recall that in 2019, she was the MVP of the international basketball tournament without borders which took place in Senegal.
The BLMMMA, which was ranked 3rd in the French championship last season, with 39 points, competes in the Euro-cup and has already been champion twice. VAB/TED/NIC
