Luanda – The Angolan judoka Maria Niangi (-70kg) won the bronze medal this Friday, on the second day of the African Judo Championship, taking place in Algeria, after beating Sofia Belattar (Morocco).
Yet today, the Angolans suffered three defeats, at -63 kg. Joana Kulibala lost to Cape Verdean Carolina Delgado, and Priscila Marta to Tunisian Maram Jmour.
Luísa José collapsed at -70 kg, against Cameroonian Zita Biami.
On this second day of competition, Angola participated with three male athletes, weighing -73 kg.
António Cardoso failed to Aleddine Benchalbi (Tunisia), Acácio Quifussa lost to Hassan Doukkali (Morocco), and Wilson Afonso to Abelrahman Abdelghman (Egypt).
Remember that on Thursday, Edmilson Pedro won the gold medal for Angola.
