Luanda - The Angolan senior men's handball team lost Wednesday in Cairo to Guinea (24-25) in a match to define the fifth to the eighth place of the African Tournament taking place in Egypt.
With this defeat, the Angolan team are excluded from the World Cup, which will be held in Croatia, Norway and Denmark.
Led by Filipe Cruz, Angola will play Morocco on Thursday.
In the regular phase, Angola beat Nigeria 26-24, as well as Kenya 48-20 and ended with a 30-33 defeat against Tunisia.
In the quarter-finals, Angola lost 25-37 to Egypt on Tuesday.
