Luanda – The senior men's basketball team this Monday, in the city of Amman, Jordan, lost to Portugal, by 67-72, in the closing game of the international tournament “King's Cup XI”, which started on 4th August.
In the match, Portuguese forward Diogo Brito was the top scorer, with 21 points, followed by Angolan winger Eduardo Francisco, with 17.
The Angolan team - enagaged in a programme of preparation for the Asian World Cup (Philippines, Japan and Indonesia), to happen from the 25th of this month to the 10th of September - last Friday in the opening match lost to Mexico, 76-78, while on Saturday the squad lost to the hosts, Jordan, by 55-70 .
Meanwhjile, still in the ambit of the squad’s preparation programme, in Spain they beat Venezuela, 66-61.
