Luanda - The National Football Team this Monday, in Luanda, repeated a draw against Mali 3-3, as it happened in the 2010 edition of the African Nations Cup (CAN), in the scope of the debut game of group D, of CHAN`2023, taking place in Algeria.
The match that was played in the Oran Olympic Stadium, Angola even led the challenge from the opening minutes, and as a result it opened the scoreg at 12 minutes of the game, by Depú.
After the goal, the national team maintained an offensive posture with moves on the middle wing side, but against the flow of the game the national team started to show weariness, through Hamidou Sinayoko, at 23 minutes.
Afterwards, the national team again put themselves in advantage with the second goal scored by Depú, at 26 minutes, a result that ended the first half time of the match.
In the resumption, Angola put the opponent in their last redoubt and the third goal, at 72 minutes, was too late, since nothing could predict again the draw of the 2010 edition of CAN, at the 11 de Novembro stadium, when Mali lost by 0- 4 until 78 minutes of the game and they equalized the dispute.
Today's game history was a repeat. While losing by 1-3 until 77 minutes, the Malians equalled the match with goals from Yaro Mamadou Diaby (78') and Ousmane Coulibaly (83'), with the national defensive sector playing roles in the Malians' few offensive plays.
With this result, Angola must beat Mauritania on the 20th and it should be preferably by expressive numbers, in the second round, considering that in the third round, this team will face Mali, on the 24th.
The Angolan group (D) has only three competitors, and according to the rules, the winner of the group will advance to the quarter-finals.
Still for today also at the Oran Olympic Stadium, Cameroon will face Congo Brazzaville for group E.
