Luanda - Angola will host, for the first time, the African Mixed Martial Arts Championship (MMA) slated for September 14- 17, at Luanda’s Kilamba pavilion.

The announcement was made by the president of the Angolan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Armando Diogo, on Tuesday.

He said that the date and the country were decided during the extraordinary assembly of the International MMA Federation and all confederations, held on  6- 10 June in the South African city of Johannesburg.

This will be the second time that Angola will participate in the event, after the country managed to come second in the event held in South Africa, in 2021.

The African will directly qualify the six best countries for the World Cup, where Angola rank 13th. JD/MC/CF/NIC
