Luanda - Angola's U-17 national football team lost 2-1 to Zambia in the final of the COSAFA Cup played at the Muller Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Angola's only goal was scored by Omar Oliveira in the 42nd minute, while Zambia scored twice through Alim, in the 7th minute and at 90+3.
Angola started the competition in Group A where they beat Lesotho 2-1 in their debut match and also triumphed over Zimbabwe 2-0.
In the semi-finals, Angola defeated hosts South Africa 2-1.
The four semi-finalists qualified for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire, namely Angola, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
