Luanda - The national senior women's handball team will face Egypt on Friday, as part of the semi-finals of the 26th African Championship (AFCON), taking place in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The defending champions (Angola) beat Algeria in the quarter-finals, 34-15, thus once again demonstrating their supremacy on the African continent, in search of their 16th title.
In the regular phase, the national team finished undefeated in first place in group B, with 10 points, in five games played, while the Egyptian team were second in group A, with eight points.
By qualifying for the semi-finals, Angola also qualified for the World Cup, set to take place from November 27th to December 14th, 2025, in Germany.
