Luanda – Angola drew 1-1 with Malawi on Friday in the second match of Group A of the Under-17 Cosafa Cup taking place in South Africa.
Played at the UA Muller stadium, the game was balanced, with goals only coming in the second half. James Lumbo put Malawi ahead in the minute 50, Angola equalized in the minute 69 by Paulo Luvumbo.
Angola’s striker was named the most valuable player on the field (MVP).
With this result, Angola leads Group A, with four points, followed by Malawi (2 pts), Mozambique (1) and Lesotho (0)
Angola completes its participation in the group stage against Mozambique on Sunday.
