Luanda – Angola and Madagascar drew 1-1 in the second round of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers played at the home of the latter.
Angola beat 2-1 the Central African Republic (CAR) in the first round of the group E played in Luanda. Gelson Dala was preponderant, scoring the winning goal, after Mbala Nzola scored the equalizer.
The Angolan international Gelson Dala scored again this time in Madagascar preventing the team from conceding a defeat.
Angola played well enough to win the match, after enduring the first fifteen minutes in which the opponent pressed in an attempt to get the early goal that would give them tranquillity, in front of an audience of more than 20,000 people.
With the draw, Angola remain in second place with 4 points, the same as Ghana, leader of the group, followed by the CAR with one point each.

Ghana vs Angola and Madagascar vs CAR.
