Luanda - The National Judo Team, on both genders, won Thursday, in Yaoundé (Cameroon), 7 medals, of which 3 are gold, in the African Championship for cadets and juniors.

In the event, being held from the 15th to the 18th of current month, judokas Rosiane Alberto (-44kg), Adelino Simão (-60) and Edna Calunga (-57) won gold in cadets.

Fighter Agostinho Makudila (-81kg) won the silver medal, while Glória Zola (-52), Ilídio Buaca (-55), Yola Piedade (-57) got the bronze.            

Cadets include 64 female and 65 male athletes, totaling 129 competitors from 16 countries. Angola is represented with 13 athletes.

In juniors, 84 female and 81 male athletes are registered, for a total of 166, from 17 African states. Angola is present with 18.
