Luanda - The Angolan senior females National Handabll Squad on Saturday conquered their 16th African Nation’s Cup, after beating Senegal by 27-18, in Kinshasa (DRC).
By half time, the national team were winning 13-8.
The Angolan player Helena Paulo was elected MVP of the Game, while her compatriot Albertina Kassoma was picked as MVP of the African Handball Confederation for the Continental Championship.
The Angolan Squad finished the competition undefeated.
Angola, first placed, Senegal (second), Tunisia (third) and Egypt (fourth) are qualified for the 2025 World Championship that will happen in Germany and the Netherlands. MC/jmc
