Luanda – Angola qualified on Saturday for the quarter-finals of the 34th edition of CAN`2023, taking place in Côte d`Ivoire, by beating Namibia 3-0.
In the round of 16 game, played at the Paz Stadium, in the city of Bouaké, the goals were scored by Gelson Dala, in the 39th and 44th minutes. Mabululu, at 65', closed the count.
With this triumph, the national team will face, in the “quarters”, the winner of the 9 pm game between Nigeria and Cameroon.
Angola travels to Abidjan for Friday's game.
This is the third time that the Palancas Negras have reached the quarter-finals of this competition of CAF nations, after the achievements of the Ghana`2008 and Angola`2010 editions, at the time there were no round of 16 in the regulations. MC/DOJ
