Luanda – Angola qualified this Friday, in Rabat, Morocco, for the final of the African Futsal Championship, by beating Egypt 7-3.
At half time, the macth registered a 2 goals draw.
This semi-final match, played at the Salle Prince Moulay Abdellah Pavilion, was marked by the elimination of the three-time African champions.
The Angolan team's goals were scored by Hélber (hattrick), Chico, Pesado, Gomito and Anderson, while Raheen, Boody and Saeed scored for Egypt.
Angolan athlete Hélber was elected the best player on the field.
The victory also allowed Marcos Antunes' men to secure their pass to the 10th edition of the World Championship, to be held in Uzbekistan, between September 14th and October 6th.
In the final, Angola will face the winner of the other semi-final, to be played between hosts Morocco and Libya, later today.
This is Angola's fourth participation in an event of its kind, after its presence in the editions of Libya (2008), South Africa (2016) and Morocco (2020) where the squad reached the third position.
