Luanda - The teams 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda face each other this Friday, at 6 pm, at the Cidadela pavilion, in the capital, for the Angolan SuperCup, in senior women's handball.
The clash will mark the debut of Luís Chaves, who is acting as Petro's interim coach, replacing the fired Vivaldo Eduardo.
On the opposite side, Spaniard Carlos Viver takes command of 1º de Agosto, after the transfer of coach José Shuma to that club's team B.
The title of the competition, which officially opens the national season, is with Petro de Luanda (winner of the Angola League Cup).
1º de Agosto (National Champions) will still make use of the base team of the 2023 season, with the exception of Isabel Chitongo "Branquinha" who moved to the rival club. WR/FN/CF/jmc
