Luanda - The senior women's handball team of Petro de Luanda beat 1º de Agosto by 18-17, Thursday in Luanda, a result secured in the last ten seconds of the match, played at Paulo Bunze pavilion, for the sixth round of the Luanda Handball Provincial Championship.
The 1º de Agosto team, who played at home, ended up losing in the final minute, after being in the lead for almost the whole match.
1º de Agosto dominated the match, despite being a very young team compared to their opponents, and took an 8-1 lead at half time, winning 10-6.
Petro de Luanda took advantage of the two minutes penalty on two of the opponent’s players and managed to draw the game at 17 points and scored the winning goal in the last ten seconds.
Before that, 1º de Agosto missed an attack where they could have equalised the challenge.
With this victory, Petro de Luanda take the lead with 12 points, followed by 1º de Agosto, with 10 points.
Still this Thursday, 1º de Agosto B club drew 24 goals with Sporting de Luanda, at the same venue.
