Luanda - Petro de Luanda and 1º de Agosto will begin this Monday in Orange, Algeria, to play to get the pass to the final of the Africa Super Cup in senior women's handball.
Petro de Luanda, the defending champions, face Egypt's Al Ahly at 4pm, while the 1º de Agosto squad will play Congo's DGSP.
For 1º de Agosto, Spanish coach Carlos Viver will be making his debut in a competition organised by the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB).
Later this week, the two Angolan representatives will compete in the 40th edition of the Cup Winners' Cup.
1º de Agosto are in Group A with DGSP (Congo), Al Ahly (Egypt) and HBC Ceb (Algeria).
Coached by Luís Chaves, Petro de Luanda, who are the holders of the trophy, are in Group B alongside AS Otoho (Congo), Abidjan HBC (Côte d'Ivoire) and FC Boumerdes (Algeria).
