Luanda - Angola women's handball team thrashed Kenya 54-9 in the opening match of the 2023 African Women's Junior Handball Championship, group A, taking place in Monastir, Tunisia, from September 7 to 14.
Angola showed all their favoritism in a dominant match by leading 26-5 at half-time.
The Angolan women's work was made easier when Kenya’s goalkeeper was sent off for violent play.
The current African champions scored a goal in each attack and ended up winning 54-9, in a historic result.
Angola face Democratic Republic of Congo in the second round.
Angola have won ten continental titles.
