Luanda - 1º de Agosto senior men's handball team won the Angola Cup on Friday after beating Interclube 23-17, in the final game played in Luanda.
At halftime of the match, Interclube had a minimum disadvantage of 11-12, demonstrating the balance between the two contenders.
In the second half, 1º de Agosto continued to play with an organized attack making the opponent unable to keep pace, combined with successive losses of the ball, which the team took very good advantage of.
Despite some two-minute exclusions for the main players, 1º de Agosto remained calm to achieve the triumph.
In the final moments, coach Filipe Cruz managed to put the players least used in the first phase of the match, who were able to maintain the result and kept the title in their hands.
