Luanda – Angola point guard Aginaldo Neto has left the NBA Academy Africa and transferred to Bella Vista College Prep, a private academy based in Phoenix, Arizona (USA).
According to information recently published on the NBA Academy Africa website, located in Senegal, the promising basketball player is now in a competitive North American basketball environment, after spending the 2023 and 2024 seasons in the NBA academy.
The move to the US will give Aginaldo a better opportunity to achieve his dream of playing professional basketball and to have a much greater structure and visibility.
With this transition, he is also closer to coaches, scouts and the
media for the development of his career.
Formed among the youth of Kilamba Basquetebol and 1.° de Agosto basketball team, Aginaldo Neto stands out for his technical ability and vision of the game.
The young prospect received several scholarship offers from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division 1. He also had offers from the US Universities of Nebraska Cornhuskers and San Diego State Basketball.
Aginaldo Neto, 18 years old and 1.89 meters tall, won the African Basketball Champions League (BAL´2024) with Petro de Luanda.He played in the 2022 Afrobasket Under 18 tournament in Madagascar and in September in South Africa.
He made his debut with the main team on February 23 of this year in the Afrobasket´2025 qualifying campaign, against Guinea.IN/MC/TED
