Luanda – Angola’s 1º de Agosto lost 0-1 to South Africa’s Kaiser Chiefs in a Caf Champions League’s second leg match on Tuesday in Luanda, thus getting eliminated from the competition.
With this elimination, 1º de Agosto are left to play the last qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations.
In the first leg encounter, 1º de Agosto and Kaiser Chiefs played to a goalless draw in Johannesburg.
1º de Agosto were in the group phase of the Caf Champions League in 1997, before appearing again 20 years later in the 2017/2018 edition, having then reached the semi-final. In the 2019/2020 season, the Angolan team collapsed in the first phase of the competition.
