Luanda - 1º de Agosto lost to Vila Clotilde 59-72, on Wednesday in Luanda, in the first game of the "play-offs", the best of three of the quarter-finals of the National Senior Men's Basketball Championship.

In the game played at the Victorino Cunha pavilion, home of 1º de Agosto, Adão António, from Vila Clotilde, was the top scorer of the match, with 25 points.

The two teams will play again on Friday, at 6 pm, at the Fernando Sousa pavilion, home of Vila Clotilde.

In the other match of the day, played at the Cidadela pavilion, Interclube, the current runner-up, beat Petro B, 89-83.

Casa do Pessoal do Porto do Lobito lost at home, 72-77, to Sporting de Luanda. However, the second match will also take place on Friday.

Petro de Luanda beat Interclube B, 111-72.
