Saurimo – The Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports in the province of Lunda-Sul, launched Thursday, a program to identify and catalog new tourist zones, for the implementation of policies that aim to make them profitable.
The information was provided by the institution's director, Nelson Muiuca, highlighting that the objective is to develop a tourist itinerary, improve access and create basic services (Water and energy).
He said the process will run until the end of the current month.
According to him, the local government is willing to transform tourism into one of the biggest sources of revenue, as part of the diversification of the country's economy.
The province of Lunda-Sul has 17 tourist zones catalogued, and currently sums 12 restaurants, 65 hotels and similar units, making a total of 746 rooms and 870 beds. EM/JW/HD/CF/DOJ
