Luanda - An Angolan delegation, led by the vice-governor of Luanda for the Economic Sector, Jorge Minguéns Augusto, participated in the International Zero Waste Cities Congress (ZW Cities), held on from 25th to 27th, in the city of Brasília, Brazil, ANGOP learnt Saturday.
The event addressed issues related to the promotion and defense of the principles and concepts of zero waste, as well as environmental education, with a main focus on cities, with a view to sharing the best sustainability practices for collective well-being.
According to a press release from the Angola Embassy in Brazil, the congress also assessed social issues, governance and economics, government innovations, sustainable entrepreneurship, community and civil society involvement, as well as education for sustainability, technology and innovation in waste management.
