Luanda - Sixty-five meteorological stations to monitor climate, at a vertical level, will be installed by the end of this year, in a project estimated at 60 million Euros.
Of these, 32 will be synoptic, five lightning arresting, ten agrometeorological, ten hydrological, five seismic and three robot sound, the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication has said.
Manuel Homem was speaking at the end of a visit Friday to three stations installed and operating in Luanda, adding that with this number of stations, information on the forecast in the country will be more precise and concrete.
He said that the country needs between 250 and 300 stations due to the current technological developments.
Currently, in Angola there are 20 stations that record forecasts, whose distances from each other are long and make a more assertive forecast of meteorological phenomena difficult.
