Ombadja - Seventy-six agricultural producers from the five communes that make up the municipality of Ombadja, Cunene province, have been participating since Thursday in the farming product flow fair, with a view to boosting agricultural activity in the region.
For three days, exhibitors will present the diversity of agricultural products, with emphasis on vegetables, cereals, legumes, pumpkins, sugar cane, small animals, among others.
On the occasion, the municipal director of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Ombadja, Gaspar Júlio, said that the fair aims to facilitate the commercialization of local products, within the scope of the flow process, as one of the most important phases of the production chain.
Gaspar Júlio said that it has the presence of cooperatives, individual producers and trading operators of field products, in order to leverage the agricultural potentialities of the region.
With this event, he added, intend to develop a business environment closer to citizens and attract investors at the local level.
At the opening, OMBADJA Assistant Municipal Administrator, Januário Luciano, acknowledged that the fair is an opportunity for producers to increase the supply and contribute to the flow and marketing of their products.
He said that the activity fits the Integrated Local Development and Poverty Development Program, with the aim of facilitating peasants to sell their products.
With a universe of 394 thousand and 964 inhabitants, the municipality of OMBADJA, is divided by the communes of Xangongo (thirst), Humbe, Naulila, Mucope and Ombala Yo Mungo.fi/he/ac/doj
