Saurimo – The agricultural potential of the province of Lunda-Sul was showcased, on Monday, at a fair promoted by the local Agriculture office, as part of the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of National Independence.
The fair, held at the Saurimo municipal market, had 60 exhibitors from the 4 municipalities comprising the province of Lunda-Sul (Cacolo, Dala, Muconda and Saurimo).
Exhibitors display vegetables, fruits, tubers and roots, among other products.
In addition to agricultural products, the fair featured exhibitors from the banking, technology, commerce, industry, insurance, catering and service sectors, among others.
On the occasion, the governor of Lunda-Sul, Daniel Neto, reiterated the government's support for producers, with a view to increasing food production in the district.
He encouraged producers to remain firm, contributing to the population's food and nutritional security.
For his part, the director of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Office, Nelson Senguetali, said that the fair served to showcase the province's agricultural potential and present business opportunities in the sector.
