Dundo - Two thousand and 700 agricultural projects were financed until July this year in the country, with a total value of 23 billion kwanzas, disbursed by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA).
The information was provided today, Wednesday, in Dundo, by the President of the Board of Directors of FADA, Felisbela Francisco, during the symbolic handover of agricultural equipment, as part of the financing for light mechanisation of family farming. She said that the financing benefited individual producers, cooperatives, micro and small businesses.
In total, 3,716 loans have been approved to date, corresponding to more than 30 billion kwanzas, of which 2,700 requests have been met, totalling 23 billion kwanzas. Regarding Lunda-Norte, she continued, 45 credit requests were approved, valued at 500 million kwanzas, of which
26 credits have already been disbursed, corresponding to 290 million kwanzas.
"Considering the province's potential, FADA is not satisfied with these statistics, which is why we are here because we want to improve the statistics presented here and for this purpose we count on the support of the government and our partners", she stressed.
The official asked the beneficiaries of the equipment credit to be responsible in the use of the equipment, and to comply with the contractual obligations, including the repayment of the financing.
"We are aware that resources are scarce and the continuity of this initiative depends on the collaboration of all of us, so we appeal to the beneficiaries to be able to repay the amounts so that other producers can also benefit", she stressed. HD/TED/DOJ
