Malanje - Ninety-six projects related to the agricultural sector in Malanje, valued at one billion kwanzas, were financed by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA), to increase production.
The 96 projects financed are part of a total of 120 already approved by FADA, according to the head of the institution's Credit Analysis Department, Osvaldo João.
In an interview with ANGOP, on the sidelines of the 1st Luquembo Municipal Rice Fair, the official said that the funded initiatives are limited to support for production, investment, community funds and the mechanization program for agriculture.
He assured that there is a rigorous monitoring of the supported projects, and the evaluation, so far, is positive, judging by the increase in cultivation areas and availability of means of production, towards the fight against hunger and poverty.
Osvaldo João said that the remaining 24 projects approved for the province of Malanje were in the process of being disbursed, to boost the sector in the region, taking into account its potential.
It should be remembered that the Luquembo Municipal Rice Fair lasted two days and was attended by 151 exhibitors, including 100 individual producers, 30 associations, 14 cooperatives and seven companies from the provinces of Malanje and Luanda. ACC/PBC/DOJ
