Ndalatando - Golungo Alto municipality, in Cuanza Norte, has five tons of rice seeds to cultivate it for the first time in the 2024/2025 agricultural campaign, the municipal administrator, Maria Inácio Jerónimo, said on Friday.
According to Jerónimo , rice will be produced in the localities of Canaulo, Caluia and Luinha in 19 hectares.
The administrator said the municipality intends to mobilize more farmers to grow rice on a large scale for the first time, underlining that farmers are ready for this challenge, following the positive results of the experimental phase of rice cultivation in the current campaign, carried out on an area of one hectare.
At the 6th edition of Expo Cuanza-Norte/2024, the municipality of Golungo Alto will be presenting its agricultural potential, with an emphasis on coffee and palm oil production and mining potential.
