Lucala - The National Bank of Angola (BNA) has said it will continue to support entrepreneurs who invest in national production, with a view to helping stabilize the prices of the basic food basket, the BNA governor, Manuel António Tiago Dias, announced on Saturday in Lucala (Cuanza-Norte).
The official, who is on a working visit to the province, explained that the support aims to increase productivity on a regular basis.
According to Manuel Tiago Dias, who was speaking during a visit to two farms that had benefited from bank credit in the municipality of Lucala, the fund will be continued to boost investments and incentives from the government for goods production to improve the lives of the population.
The governor added that through the BNA notice 10/22, commercial banks have been financing various agricultural, food and service production projects that contribute to the well-being of the population.
He explained that the rise in prices in the national economy is related to food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Manuel Dias said the increase in prices is identified in six main products, whose regular and abundant local production would contribute to reducing them.
“We will continue to improve our investments,” he said.
