Bandiagara, An attack by unidentified armed men against a public transport bus left five dead and thirteen wounded on Thursday on the National Road (RN15), around the village of Tillé (Center).
The attack happened at around 7 a.m. on this vehicle, coming from Bamako for Koro (Center), took place at the same time when a position of the self-defense group Dan Nan Ambassagou was the target of fire, according to our report, source.
The results of these two attacks show three dead and eight wounded, three of them serious and a burnt vehicle.
In the afternoon around 1 pm, on the same section, a transport vehicle, coming from Mopti (Center), was attacked at the Parou bridge by unidentified armed men.
The toll is two dead and five injured two of them serious.
In both cases, a mixed gendarmerie and police team, led by the squadron leader, Captain Sékou Kariba Konaté, attended the scene to assist the wounded. These were all transported to the Reference Health Center (CSRéf) in Bandiagara and the serious cases referred to Sominé Dolo Hospital in Sevaré.
The populations of this area, victims of violence on several occasions, call on the government to secure their lives and their property.
