Tômbwa - Focusing on improving tourist infrastructure, the Municipal Administration of Tômbwa began today, in the tourist areas of Colinas Mbindy Yo Mutuati and Lagoa do Arco, construction work on tolls, sanitary facilities and signage, with a view to boosting tourism in the province of Namibe.
The initiative aims not only to increase the quality of visits, but also to boost revenue collection in the local tourism sector, according to the deputy municipal administrator for the Financial and Budget area, Joaquim Baza Augusto.
The official said that this joint action between the administration and the tourism sector highlights the administration's commitment to the sustainable development of these tourist attractions.
He also added that this action, which counts on the participation of the local community, represented by young people, allowed the creation of 10 jobs, a fact that could help provide a positive impact on the municipality's economy, more specifically in the tourism sector.
He highlighted that the advancement of these initiatives reflects not only a boost in the tourism sector, but also a commitment to the economic and social development of Tômbwa, reinforcing the importance of strategic investments for sustainable growth.
It should be noted that this process is included in the National Tourism Promotion Plan (Planatur) and will continue to other tourist areas. FA/AC/DOJ
