Ondjiva - Sociologist Miguel Dianduala defended Thursday, in the province of Cunene, the need to bring basic services closer to the population, to promote the dignity of the human person and the administration of social justice.
Speaking to ANGOP, regarding the World Day of Social Justice, marked on February 20th, he said that the challenges of combating regional asymmetries and social inequalities, with the approximation of public services, are fundamental to minimizing existing problems in communities.
Miguel Dianduala considered it essential that basic social services, such as education, medical and medication assistance, energy and water, access to justice services and banking institutions, reach closer to the citizen, to avoid “travel”.
For the sociologist, governments need to be able to distribute resources equitably, for a balance in terms of social and economic growth of communities.
He clarified that regional asymmetries and social inequalities result in a large difference in terms of population growth between regions.
World Social Justice Day is celebrated on February 20th. It was proclaimed by the United Nations (UN), with the aim of recognizing that peace and security between States can only be achieved through social justice and development.
