Uíge - The preacher of the Uíge's Peniel Evangelical Church, Carlitos Neto, defended today, Sunday, the need for churches to intensify actions to rescue moral and ethical values, to preserve peace in the country.
The preacher, who was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Peniel Evangelical Church “Centro Petencostal”, by the apostle Celestino Nsuama, explained that this religious denomination has carried out several mobilization actions in schools and other public places, aiming to rescue moral and civic values.
He added that the Peniel Church, in addition to mobilizing society, has carried out other social activities in the “Kituma” elderly home, Uíge General Hospital, maternity ward and in other places that need support.
He mentioned that, as a partner of the State, the church has the duty to moralize society, help in the construction of social infrastructures, as well as provide other support to society.
For this reason, he said that the Peniel do Uíge Evangelical Church has a project in its pipeline to build a school with 22 classrooms.
Present at the activity, the MPLA's 2nd provincial secretary in Uíge, Gertrudes Gastão, asked the churches to continue investing in raising awareness among the population, for the preservation of public assets.
The new temple of the Peniel Evangelical Church “Centro Petencostal”, located in the Mbemba Ngango neighborhood, in the city of Uíge, began construction in 2011, in a space measuring 32/20 square meters, and has the capacity to accommodate a thousand believers.
