Luanda - The process of regularisation and simplification of properties, underway in Angola, is expected to cover up to three million homes, built under the Housing Development Programme, ANGOP learnt Wednesday from a source linked to the process.
According to the Land Registrar Yara de Carvalho, coordinator of the Technical Group of the Land Registry Massification Programme, the aim is to extend the programme of legalisation and regularisation of the State's housing assets, as well as the properties of private individuals.
A first step in the process concerns the urgency of legalising and regularising homes in centralised locations across the country, which make up a total of 77,401 available for registration, she said.
Yara de Carvalho was explaining to the news agency about a Webinar held last Monday, whose focus was related to property registration, in a promotion of the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
Coordinated by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, the programme focuses on the registration of these properties, in the name of the State, to be later transferred to the people who live in them or want to acquire them.
