According to the government official, the primary assessment of the projects underway at the province's headquarters revealed some constraints in the execution of the construction work for the 26-classroom school, where there was some delay on the part of the contractor.
In this project, he clarified that the provincial government-maintained contacts with the Ministry of Finance, in order to unlock the situation and the ongoing challenge is to ensure that the contractor can meet the contractual deadlines and deliver the work to the population.
The government official made it known that MAT has three projects in progress in the province of Cunene, highlighting that the most delayed is the construction work on the Cuanhama municipal building, currently paralyzed, with only 22 percent of physical completion.
Phase by situation, he said that he will work with the Ministry of Finance to ensure that all measures of invoices issued result in payments so that the work can start and proceed at a normal pace.

Regarding the start of the second phase of the project, he added that he will find out about the existing obstacles with the supervisory ministry and inform the province about the path to follow.
“Cunene has its specificities with factors of an ethnic-cultural nature, which in some way have had a positive impact on development, but there is also a need to understand the difficulties, constraints and challenges that arise for the development of the province,” he emphasized.
