Luanda – Angolan minister of Social Action, Family and Woman Promotion Faustina Alves said Friday in Luanda pondering over the creation of a platform for dissemination and sharing good practices of the national culture.
The minister was speaking to the press at the official opening of the National Family Activity 2021, under the theme “The symbolic value of the bride price for the families”.
The platform serves to display good practices that facilitate the transmission of cultural values to the next generations.
The minister said that every citizen needs to take this responsibility, while Government is tasked with disseminating the policies and the laws on the issue.
The church should help recover the moral and civic values in the communities.
As for the topic, the MP Américo Cuononoca said that the cost of bride price nowadays is very expensive, thus distorting the principles in which it has been created.
As result, he said, many family break-up, paternity denial and in many cases hinders the continuity of the human species.
Opened Friday, the event ends on 29 May.
The World marks the International Family Day on 15 May.
The first Family International Day was celebrated in 1994.
