Mbanza Kongo – More than 300 motorcycle taxi drivers were on Saturday warned about the dangers posed by road accidents in northern Zaire province during a campaign carried out on the main streets of this World Heritage city.
Speaking to the press, the municipal secretary of JMPLA in Mbanza Kongo, Sebastião Nteyikenge, said the campaign follows the increase in the number of road accidents in the main municipality of Zaire province, mostly involving motorbike taxi drivers.
The municipality of Mbanza Kongo registered a weekly average of two to three road accidents, mostly involving moto-taxi drivers, according to data from the Department of Road and Traffic.
