Ondjiva - Forty young people completed on Saturday the 2nd training cycle of cooking and pastry courses, at the Professional Training Center of Ondjiva, Cunene Province, the director, João Canela has informed.
Speaking to ANGOP, he informed that the 3-month courses provided graduates with tools to enter the job market.
He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to the professional training of young people, within the scope of the National Staff Training Program.
The recently trained people expressed satisfaction with their technical-professional achievements and assured that they are prepared to face the challenges of the job market.
In turn, the director of the Integrated Center for Employment and Professional Training in the town of Oifidi, on the outskirts of the city of Ondjiva, João Alberto, expressed concern about the low level of enrollment for the 3rd training cycle.
He stated that of the 175 vacancies available, only 64 are occupied, 19 in the area of low voltage electricity, 11 in cutting and sewing, automobile mechanics and metalwork with nine, computer course six, electricity and cold with five registered.
The southern Cunene province has five training units, two centers in Ondjiva and Ofidi and three arts and crafts pavilions located in the municipal headquarters of Ombadja, Namacunde and Cuvelai. PEM/LHE/DC/MRA/DOJ
